Contractors using this app will be able to select a geographic work area based on either the location of their office, or location of an employee’s cellular phone. When a client request is received, contractors who have elected to work in this given area will then be alerted that a project is available. If at least 3 contractors are not available in the given area, the search area will expand until a minimum of 3 contractors have been notified. When a contractor receives an alert, they can message the client for more information and give them an estimated time of when they will be able to perform the work. Projects will require a minimum of 3 hours. Pricing will be based on the CBA where the work is being performed. The total package rate defined within the CBA will then have a multiplier applied to it which will include wages, overhead, profit, and service fees. This will be used as a base rate calculation. This multiplier can then be adjusted for circumstances like wait times or work performed outside of normal hours. Material cost will start off as a line item in the early versions of the app. Later versions of the app will allow contractors to automatically upload material lists which will be sent out to supply houses of the contractors choosing, and could potentially be sent to multiple supply houses for material bidding.

Contractors will no longer have to worry about collecting bills from clients. All transactions will be handled through the app, and billed when the work is completed. Office overhead fees can be reduced by using the app. The contractor will not need as many office workers to answer phones and dispatch employees, as employees will be able to open the app and see jobs that are in their area that need to be completed.

Insurance options may become available in later versions of the app and site. When this becomes available, new contractors could be offered liability insurance for their projects. Payments for these policies could be automatically deducted from bills. Later versions of the site would be able to coordinate draws, financing, and bonding for contractors, all of which will have a fee to generate additional revenue for 4HH.

This platform could also be adapted in the future to provide general contracting and project management services, once the network of contractors and recognized dependability have been established.
